Planters for the public space
In an era of climate change and urbanization, problems such as heat stress and water surpluses are emerging. Rising temperatures and peaks in rainfall are the cause of this. The increasing petrification in cities also contributes to these problems. Various studies show that more greenery can be a solution to these problems. Green cools by creating natural shade. Greenery can also absorb the peaks of rainfall. Grijsen also sees that greenery cannot be realized everywhere due to cables, pipes, soil with archaeological value, and places that must remain accessible during certain times of the year. Planters are a nice solution. Because the planter is easy to move, you have a flexible green design. With the right provisions in the planter, the tree functions optimally. Proper drainage prevents bacteria and fungi.
The planters for public spaces are equipped with forklift pockets and lifting eyes so that they can be moved in any way desired. There are also connecting eyes at the bottom of the planter to secure the planting and/or trees. At the bottom of the planter, there are drainage holes that let excess water out of the planter to prevent bacteria and mold.
Below you can see the range of standard planters of Grijsen. Do you want a custom planter? Please contact us, we will be happy to help you.
